"How do shrink and/or get rid of my pores".
I see this question a lot and there are some things to factor in here. There are a few things that can cause pores to more visible from congestion, products that are too occlusive enlarging the pores or even genetics.
If you've ever heard you can't shrink or get rid of your pores. This is technically true as your pores as required for healthy skin function and each individual varies, There are, however, some things that can be done to visible reduce their appearance.
The first is to ensure that the pores are clear from deep congestion. Using a Beta Hydroxy Acid based product can assist with this as this is oil soluble. Which means this allows it to penetrate the follicle (pore) deeper than other acids to dissolve congestion.

For those whose skin is more acclimated to chemical exfoliants you could look at introducing the 30% AHA + 2% BHA Peel. I would check my post about this peel below to make sure your skin has acclimated and some tips for application:
Sensitive skin types, could could opt for an Azelaic Acid suspension as this will function as gentle AHA/BHA while providing soothing effects due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

The third step which is often overlooked is ensuring that your skin barriers hydration and moisture levels are functioning optimally. Using actives that not only hydrate the skin (humectants, fatty alcohols) but bind moisture to the skin like peptides or again fatty alcohols. Some options for this are:
